About Jen
We have a motto: old is the new New! We love to take old fashioned , down to earth knowledge and teach it. We love teaching about hands on homesteading sills and crafts. We offer classes to learn to process raw wool , cleaning, setting, dying it to needle felting, wet felting, even spinning yarn . We will soon offer preserving classes, cheese making, body products, painting , gourd art and more. I have been giving classes for three years now, here at the farm, in private homes, local library and the Del Mar fair. I have two year of pastel/charcoal panting college and acrylic painting . I got started teaching because I had a large amount of kids and adults wanting to LEARN, plus I love sharing my knowledge with others.
Homesteading..Istudied microbiology and veterinary science in college...worked at several large and small animal hospitals and goverment level jobs.
Art and craft: studied pastel/charcoalpainting , acylic painting
Teach 4h projects : poultry, swine, rabbits, rifle , fiber arts
Taught workshops at my farm, private homes, library and Del Mar Fair grounds

I will usually ask the age of adult or child that wants to take a class and get an idea of what they would like to learn from me, then work a lesson around that.
I have worked with adults of all ages and backgrounds
Children from 5 to 18 years of age ..
I would take the time to ask questions and be clear about what you hope to gain from the lessons
I had several recent classes that I am fond of ..one was the adult wet felting class were I taught the basics of wet felting...
The other was teaching kids how to process and clean raw wool..
