About Daniela
So, what makes us stand apart from other studios?
Our state of the art Gratz equipment, or knowledge and expertise (over 12 years), and our dedication to the practice. We are a friendly and welcoming community studio offering private sessions and small group classes. I opened my studio because Pilates has changed my life in
so many ways. It has taught me to heal through movement and to share that power with others. Our clients are everyone from high powered actresses and studio executives to pregnant mommies and people with neurological conditions. Everyone has a place at Old School Pilates!
What makes our classes stand apart?
Our class sizes are very small and intimate. You will have personalized attention every time you come to class. Each student keeps a class card at the studio that tracks their progress. Our teachers are highly trained and highly experienced the the Pilates Method.
What makes Daniela stand out?
Daniela Caesar-Roden (Owner of Old School Pilates in Woodland Hills CA) is a 3rd generation Pilates teacher. She has over 12 years experience teaching movement to people of all ages, abilities, and walks of life.
She was a hyperactive child with learning “disabilities”, who couldn’t sit still. Her escape became movement. Through a number of injuries and illnesses she learned that above all else, movement heals.
Pilates has given Daniela a platform to share her love of movement with others day in and day out. Every day she is reminded how to move with awareness, control, and ease. She is a life-long student of the Pilates method.
Daniela has worked with people of all ages, from high profile actresses and executives to pregnant mommies and people with neurological conditions. From injured to perfectly healthy bodies, Pilates can be done by all!
She received her mat certification from Equinox and Lesley Logan and then went on to complete her comprehensive certification under 2nd generation teacher, Ana Caban who studied from Romana Kryzanowska.
Over the years, she has continued her studies with Pilates Elders Jay Grimes of Vintage Pilates, Lolita San Miguel, and Sonjé Mayo as well as many 2nd generation teachers including Alisa Wyatt, Zoë Hagler and Sandy Shiamoda. Daniela takes weekly lessons from 2nd generation teachers Trish Garland, and Niedra Gabriel.
In addition to her Pilates training, Daniela holds a BS in Kinesiology with a focus in dance pedagogy. She is also a 500hr Certified Yoga Teacher, Level I Reiki Practitioner, and received her Evidence Based Optimal Nutrition Certificate through Harvard Extension School.
