About Art
Since 2005 Amario’s Art Academy’s mission has been to promote literacy, create comic books and animations that serve the community through creative art projects. To promote artistic integrity and arts education, that creates standards of artistic excellence. Mentoring students from grades 3 through 12 on leadership and teamwork skills guiding them towards a professional career in the arts
We enjoy it every single time that "light" comes on in a child. The light that says "I can do it." Their success is our success.
Amario’s passion and love for comics inspired him to develop the Academy as he reflected on the years that his own teachers on the art form he loved discouraged him. His teachers continuously ripped up his hand drawn comics while commenting, “Comics are not real art.” Years after working for Marvel Comics, studying and developing his skills, he realized there must be other youth out there who were also being discouraged from drawing the comic style that they too enjoyed.

Everyone is nice and give help when you need it.
It's a place where I can be myself and create my own comics.
I love the way Amario's Art Academy has helped my daughter develop her artistic ability and style. I love that the art academy is a safe place for artistic students to learn and grow. I love that the art academy not only teaches the students college level material but how to be leaders through community service.
This place is phenomenal wish I had learned about them sooner :-)
