Perfect! I took photography classes with Todd Goodman in Los Angeles, and it was a fantastic experience from the start.

We focused on film photography, especially portraits and landscapes, and he gave me a whole new appreciation for shooting in manual mode. I used an old Nikon camera (that Todd recommended) throughout the course, because I wanted to start from the beginning and with Todd’s guidance, I was finally able to get the most out of it.

What stood out the most was Todd’s teaching style. He doesn’t just lecture—he works alongside you. I learned by doing: exploring locations, setting up shots together, and diving into both the fun and the challenges of shooting on film. Todd gave clear direction, shared hands-on techniques, and always made the learning experience enjoyable and engaging.

Every class felt like an adventure—something I genuinely looked forward to. Whether we were out shooting in natural light or doing portraits in a more controlled setting, it was both educational and fun.

I would highly recommend Todd Goodman to anyone who's just starting out in photography or even to those with some experience looking to refresh their skills and perspective. His knowledge, passion, and approachable teaching style make Todd the best at what he does. At the end of the day he wasn't only my coach but a friend as well.
