We have been taking lessons at The Piano University for two years. I have seen tremendous growth in our music knowledge and performing skills. Notereading flashcards, rhythm games on ipads, and music theory are done at each lesson. Learning is made fun through these varied activities. We have learned things you usually wouldn't learn until later like the Circle of 5ths. Progress is always celebrated. Connie also offers the students opportunities to be teaching assistants. We have learned our scales, diatonic triads, and transposing through her technique charts that are practiced daily. Once a month at group class we are able to perform a memorized piece which helps make performing in front of others easier. Music camps are offered during the summer. Two of our favorites are the Composition Camp where students learn how to compose their own music and the Circle of Fifths Camp where studunts play a game that teaches about the Circle of 5ths which is a favorite of the students. The studio is very flexible and has a positive, fun learning environment. There is a waiting room that has drinks and seats for parents who get there early or would like to stay during the lesson. Siblings can also come at the same time. Lessons last an hour each week. Notes are emailed to parents to keep them informed about how their child is progressing and what they are learning. We have loved our experience at this piano studio.

As a mom I love the weekly lesson notes. My daughter enjoys the different centers. She likes learning in different ways and not being expected to sit at the piano for a long period of time.

I like the variety of teaching methods and music levels hand picked for my kids. I like that each month they play in front of a small group of friends to practice performing.

The teachers are knowledgeable, and are good with kids. The lessons are designed kids friendly which make the kids learn with ease. I am also taking adults piano lesson, all in all: excellent experience.

This is the best piano studio I've ever seen (including my own!). My kids (ages 8 to 16) take lessons here and they learn theory, technique, practicing skills, composing, and have a lot of fun. The teacher is extremely knowledgeable and organized. She has created her own curriculum for young students which allows kids as young as 3 to be successful in the piano. And she is constantly looking to improve her methods. Plus, lesson times are very flexible, all your kids can have the same lesson time (no more shuttle kids back and forth for hours!), and if you're running 15 mins late, you still get your whole lesson. You can't beat that for busy moms! I highly recommend The Piano University!!

I am so pleased with the Piano University. My daughter loves coming and she is developing her skills and love for music. Their approach to teaching music is so different than typical piano lessons. I love the rotations. I love the curriculum that they use, especially for my younger children. I really have been so impressed. I drive 30 miles each way to have my children attend this studio...and it's worth it!!! I can't imagine ever changing.

Learning is fun for the kids. The academy incorporates games, activities and piano lessons around characters to enhance learning and excitement with younger children.
