About Karen
Learning to read is empowering. It opens so many doors, both personally and professionally. I have been a special education teacher for over 30 years. I no longer serve the public school system but have decided to offer my services in my own classroom I build as an addition to my home. I hold a Masters Degree in Special Education, a BA in Sociology/Human Services. I connect with children on the spectrum and love my SPED kidos.
Graduated from the University of Oregon in Special Education. Rated one of the top SPED program in the Nation. Continue annual trainning in reading and Direct Instruction Programs.

Karen Chase is committed to teaching the foundations of education that my daughter can use to in and out of the classroom. Miss Karen communicates often and clearly. She shares what she’s seeing improvement on and directs the future of our tutoring sessions. My daughter loves coming to her and loves the activities that they do all year long. Karen has made a lasting impact on our family. Under her tutelage our daughter had gone from testing in the 33% to testing in the 75 % and reading almost a full grade level ahead!!! We are so grateful for Miss Karen!
