About Wade
Hi...I'm Wade Lawson of SUP with Wade. We've been around for years, in fact, we were the first surf school in Los Angeles dedicated to stand up paddling. I've had thousands of students over the years and have seen about every hurdle there is to see in terms of learning the sport. Ive surfed monsters and have crossed the windiest, gnarliest ocean channels. So...if your goal is to cruise the Marina or charge the main bowl at Maverick's, I can get you there.
My joy in teaching comes from seeing that look in people's eyes. The second that people discover, "yeah, I can do this," or when new surfers experience the "first glide" of coming down the face of a wave. I get experienced surfers who want to "up their game" and want more challenging conditions. Seeing someone catch their first 20 footer is what I love most.
