About Evan
Explore music with professional guidance! My primary specialization is violin, and I offer viola, cello, piano, and theory/composition lessons for all ages as well, either online or in-person. Drawing on my experience as a professional performer and educator, my method emphasizes well-rounded musicianship, technical ease, productively organized practice and natural, intuitive music-making. Seeing my students become empowered to express themselves and grow through music is a true joy and privilege, and I look forward to being part of your musical journey!

He may not admit it, but Evan is a great player. He is at least as good a teacher and I hesitate to say that he's more proficient at one or the other. He is analytical when he needs to be and he personalizes instruction to the level of the student. Easy going and flexible, (maybe sometimes too easy going) he makes little ado about my lack of practice but never reinforces my poor habits. Totally positive experience and a nice guy as well.
I cannot recommend Evan highly enough. His patience, kindness, and professionalism made my violin lessons a joyous and rewarding experience. He is a true master of his craft, and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from him!
