Three years ago I started with practice daily. I know play Celtic fiddle music daily. Along with private lessons I also play music with a group of other student musicians at the same studio. It’s challenging, pleasing and lots of fun! Adam is very encouraging. An excellent instructor in music theory and teaching music. I would highly recommend “Sweet Music Studio” for anyone interested in learning as an amateur, such as myself, or as a professional.

Adam is a patient, good-humored, and inspiring teacher and a stellar musician. Classes are fun and relaxed but sneak in plenty of theory, and his historical knowledge across genres is impressive.

Adam is quite simply an outstanding teacher. His love of music and musicology make each lesson a unique exploration into technique, history, and musical passion. He is a patient and keen observer - making him a highly effective and motivating teacher. In my opinion Adam is one of those rare individuals who fits the true meaning of “teacher” - although I would rather think of him as a wonderful “musical advisor”. In short, he is terrific!

Celtic fiddle music has always been of interest to me, ever since I was a little girl, but I never had time to learn how to play. At first it was college, then a career, then family...there just never was time. Until I retired. I heard about Adam Sweet from watching him play with his band Celticado. I was fascinated and I admit thrilled. But I thought I was too old. After the concert, I talked to Mr. Sweet who said you are never too old to learn to play a musical instrument. He was right! Six years later, and I am still playing the fiddle and loving every minute of it.

I heard about Sweet Music's Mandolin for Beginners group class in 2014 when they performed Bach at the South Hadley Town Hall to a packed room. I called the number on the poster and joined up the next day. Classes were super easy and fun. I rented a mandolin for the first year, and then bought my own. I highly recommend the group class because the teacher, Mr. Sweet, is a mandolin expert and taught me everything I know.

As a retiree who has never played a musical instrument in his live, it was marvelous to find Mr. Adam Sweet of Sweet Music. He is patient, kind, and has taught me more than I expected, not just how to play the instrument (in my case, mandolin), but music theory, relevant history, and how to practice. It's been four years now, and I can't imagine my life without music, thanks to Mr. Sweet.
