About Natalie
I am a Film Studies graduate from King’s College London and a practising set and production designer working across the creative industries. My academic background combines literature, film, and media, allowing me to bring a broad and interdisciplinary perspective to my teaching.
During my degree, I explored areas including French New Wave, Italian Neorealism, post-war cinema, transcendentalism, and adaptations of classical literature, developing a strong understanding of how storytelling, culture, and visual language intersect. Alongside tutoring, I have gained first-hand experience in set and costume design, as well as supporting producers and directors, allowing me to bring real-world creative experience into my teaching.
Having personally experienced dyslexia and dyscalculia, I understand that every student learns differently. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable developing their skills, asking questions, and building confidence.
I genuinely enjoy working one-on-one with students and seeing their curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow. My goal is to make learning engaging, accessible, and inspiring while helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. I offer personalised tuition in GCSE and A-Level English Literature, Film Studies, Media Studies, Art, and Photography, supporting students with coursework, essay writing, textual analysis, creative projects, and assessment preparation.
In a typical lesson, we begin by reviewing previous work, identifying areas for improvement, and setting clear objectives for the session. We then focus on developing specific skills, whether that involves analysing texts, strengthening written arguments, preparing for assessments, or refining creative work. Lessons combine discussion, guided practice, and independent exercises to build understanding, confidence, and critical thinking.
My approach is supportive, structured, and creative. I encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas independently, and develop their own voice while providing the guidance and techniques needed to succeed academically. I believe the most rewarding learning happens when students feel encouraged to explore ideas, develop their own perspective, and connect creatively with the subject.
These lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students, as well as anyone looking to develop their skills, deepen their understanding, and explore their interests in English, Film, Media, and the Visual Arts.
