About Emma
In my experience as a tutor, I have learnt the importance of the academic relationship - which I have also found at the University of Cambridge - and have come to value a space in which students are safe to be enthused and confused about their learning. It is my job to navigate these dynamics so that any student feels they can achieve their academic goals. Having taught several students, I know how fulfilling academic success can be for them.

I have 5+ years experience teaching yr 5 to 12 in several subjects, including English Literature A-Level and core GCSE subjects. I also have experience in tutoring for Oxbridge interviews. See full list below:

I prepare a lesson in advance, that will work towards a discussed goal with the tutee. Lessons typically last 1hr but I am happy to adjust this as seen fit. I like to work closely with the student to make sure theygain confidence and a sense of achievement in our lessons.
I can work in person (in Oxford) and online (Zoom).
