About Lucy
I have recently graduated from the University of Manchester with a first-class honours degree in English Literature. I'm planning on taking a year off to work before returning back to Manchester to complete an MSc in Marketing.
English was always my favourite subject growing up in school, so my passion for literature will definitely translate through my tutoring work. I know exactly what it's like to go through GCSEs and A-Levels, and this understanding of what examiners are looking for is vital when tutoring.
After being inspired by fantastic teachers at my secondary school, to the point I continued with English Literature at university, I'm confident I have the same passion to help students now with any assistance they may need.

I can offer help with English Literature from the ages 11-18, including prep work for GSCE, A-Levels, and students who wish to continue studying English at a university level.
I have previous experience tutoring up to a Key Stage 3 level. I have a wide knowledge of literature from classics to contemporary, and recent personal experience of GCSE and A-Level examinations having graduated from Secondary School in 2019.
Recently finishing university means I have a current understanding and involvement in English Literature academia to a first-class degree standard. Furthermore, I am able to also guide students through UCAS and offer help and advice on writing personal statements.
Typical length of lessons: 1 hour.
