About Christopher
I have recently graduated from the University of Leeds, with a first-class honours in History and Politics. Prior to going to university, I attended Ravens Wood School for boys, where I achieved straight A's at A-Level and I received awards for academic excellence in the process.
I am a gregarious character who is easy to get along with. Moreover, I love helping students who find academic work challenging, as I find it rewarding when I can see evident progress. Since leaving University, I have helped one A-Level history student gain confidence when writing his essays, and have helped another get an A grade in GCSE Maths, despite her having a significantly lower predicted grade.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who would like a tutor in English, Maths or History.

Chris Edgar graduated with a first class degree in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds in July 2017. Throughout his degree, Chris showed himself to be intelligent, hardworking and thoughtful. In particular, Chris excelled in two areas. First he is particularly effective in taking complex historical arguments and differing perspectives on a particular topic and communicating these in a manner appropriate to different audiences with clarity and precision. Secondly, Chris developed excellent critical analysis skills, engaging with arguments and evidence to consider the different ways of understanding the past and making sound judgements as to where the balance of evidence may lie. Chris combines these intellectual skills with hard work and reliability. I have no hesitation recommending him.
