About Charlie
I am a Mathematics (Hons) graduate from the university of Exeter who achieved a high First Class degree (82%) within my studies. In my A-Levels, I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
I have 6 years of previous tutoring experience in both A-Levels and GCSEs, and all of my students have met the goals that we set together, if not exceeded them. I adopt a relaxed style of teaching, where lessons are catered to the individuals' needs, and I ensure that every lesson is engaging by always interacting with the student, ensuring that they follow and understand each step of working. I use lots of diagrams and examples and try to link any content I can to something used in everyday life, as this is much more engaging than memorizing from a textbook.
In all of my exams I achieve top marks and so my exam technique is very good; just from reading the question I know what the mark scheme will look like, and so I can ensure that students display their amazing knowledge in the way that the examiners are looking for.
As well as enjoying academics, in order to relax I enjoy listening to and playing music, going on runs and playing badminton.

Communication between tutor and student is key, I always ensure that lessons are catered to the individual student and so ensure there is a lot of communication as to what the student wants to go over in the session, whether it's exam questions or revising a subject they might struggle a bit with. I always ensure that the students are confident in what is being taught and am always patient, ensuring that what is being taught is grasped by the student.

I cannot thank Charlie enough for helping me achieve my recent A-level grade in Maths! He is sooo knowledgeable about maths as well as exams and revision techniques and gave me so much confidence! He helped explain difficult questions in a way that I could understand and was very patient when explaining the stuff if I didn’t get it to start with. He found a way to make each question feel easy so I felt very prepared going into my exams! He is also kind and funny so I actually ended up looking forward to doing maths!
