About Cynthia
Hi, I am Cynthia! I am currently a first-year Medical Student at the University of Queensland. I graduated from Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario with a double major in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences and Microbiology/Immunology.
I have experience teaching students and peers for 3 years as a volunteer tutor. I specialize in Biology.

My teaching methods utilize strategies for students to understand concepts easily by leveraging my experiences from my high school international baccalaureate (IB) courses and my post-graduate career. I will work with my students and tailor their learning experience to ensure they can easily grasp the concepts I teach.
A typical lesson plan is to review the material in class and questions the student may have. In addition, I will prepare my students for upcoming tests and exams.
I can teach elementary and high school students.

Perfect! Cynthia encourages you to explain the things you read. This helps you understand the material. If you don’t understand she explains to you, and then makes you explain it to make sure you get the concept. Her technique is very helpful, and she is a great tutor!

Cynthia helped me through gr. 11 and 12 Biology and Chemistry. I went from barely passing to scoring an 85 in Chem and 97 in Bio! She has a great way of explaining things by breaking it down into understandable and relatable pieces.
