About Youness
French has been part of my education for most of my life. I studied in French before coming to the United States, and I continued developing my language skills at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where I completed a minor in French and Francophone Studies alongside my major in Computer Science.
I am a fluent French speaker with experience tutoring fellow college students, teaching private lessons, and helping learners practice through French conversation tables. These experiences taught me how to explain difficult ideas clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
I am patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy helping people become more comfortable speaking French. My goal is to create a relaxed environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes without embarrassment, and steadily build confidence.

My lessons are practical, supportive, and built around your personal goals. We can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, or help with school and college assignments.
A typical lesson begins with a short conversation or review, followed by a clear explanation of the day’s topic and guided practice using real-life examples. We finish by reviewing what you learned and identifying what to practice next. I adjust the pace and teaching style based on your level, interests, and learning needs.
I have studied in French throughout my education and later completed a minor in French and Francophone Studies in college. I also have experience tutoring fellow college students, giving private French lessons, and participating in French conversation tables.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, middle and high school students, college students, and adults who want to improve their French in a patient and encouraging environment.
