About Katie
I began tutoring Spanish in high school, helping out peers that were struggling to keep up with the language. I continued this through college.
After earning a degree in Spanish in 2019, I moved to Madrid until 2022, where I taught in an elementary school and tutored on the side. There, I gained extensive classroom experience for ages 4-13, and tutored for people anywhere from 3 years old to older than 40.
Collectively, I have over 10 years of experience tutoring, and I particularly love teaching Spanish. It was not my native language, so I have personal experience learning the language and a thorough understanding of the process.

I believe in an individualized approach with all my experience. I have experience teaching students from 3-40 years old, and therefore experience preparing lessons for a wide range of subjects and levels.
I also have several years of classroom experience so I'm comfortable teaching in pairs or groups if that is preferred.
My goal is always to foster an environment that encourages growth, whether that is in confidence, mental capacity, or academic success. I aim to lead with curiosity and adapt methods throughout so that my students feel they have some control in the learning process.
