About Carl
My commitment to my students comes with high standards. For myself, I am committed to being on-time and ready to start. Time is money; students don't want me wasting their time, and I don't want to waste time not giving them their full investment. This also includes knowledge of the subject matter. My students expect me to know what they are not understanding. Likewise I expect them to come ready to with questions about the material as well as be able to demonstrate their attempts at understanding the material. In most cases, failure to understand a concept comes from a lack of understanding from a previously taught concept. Sometimes one weak area that is reinforced fixes several layers of misunderstanding and struggle. I don't look to find answers. I look to help them understand and apply the concepts . If my students understand, then they will be successful, with or without my help. That is what any excellent teacher should want for their students.

In order to learn anything, you don't just teach the material. A good teacher or tutor engages their students by making the material practical and relevant to how they see the world around them. A good teacher or tutor also makes the lesson challenging and fun. Lastly, A good teacher inspires a student to think and aspire to take that information and experience and apply it to their life. Success begets success; if a student believes that they can overcome this current hurdle, then it will aspire them to go even further in other areas of their life. I don't just teach; I encourage, uplift, and inspire everyone I've ever helped.
