About Abi
I am a qualified modern languages teacher (St Mary's University, 2020) and University of Cambridge French and German Graduate (2016). I further mastered my languages when I worked in fashion in Paris and in communications in Hamburg. After graduating, I taught students aged 11-16 in London state schools, giving me experience of how to get the best out of all personalities and abilities! I was promoted to Head of German, where I was responsible for designing and implementing an engaging and logically sequenced curriculum - I will bring this experience to ensure you are suitably challenged throughout. I have also enjoyed building rapport with my private clients - from 6-year-olds picking up French through fairytales and song, to adults looking to brush up on their business German, I have always loved supporting individuals to achieve their goals.

Compassionate, enthusiastic and pragmatic, you can expect tailored and progressively challenging lessons from me.
I aim to cover all the key language skills in every lesson (speaking, reading, writing, listening and translation), but am also available for conversation focused classes. I sequence sessions in themes, integrating new grammar and vocabulary throughout.
I am passionate about using real-world French and German news, texts, films and music to allow you to master the language through interesting cultural insights.
