About Celia
I'm a French engineer, working as a post-doctoral researcher in aero-acoustics (I'm working on aircraft noise) at the University of Southampton.
I have experience in teaching mathematics to high school students, as well as tutoring mechanical design classes to first year master students. I'm offering mathematics and French lessons to whoever wants to improve in these fields :)
I really like learning new languages and discovering new cultures, so I am happy to share the knowledge I have about my culture with you! During French lessons, I can help with the French pronounciation, grammar and writing. I can also teach you some useful expressions, and help you to hold simple conversations.
My background is quite general (mechanical, electrical, industrial and computer engineering) so I could help with other topics if needed.
Other than that I am very patient and positive and I'm happy to adapt to any needs/requirements. My hours are flexibles.

I can recommend Celia wholeheartedly and as my first choice as a teacher/tutor.
We taught together in a French non-profit organization, Afric'Edu, whose income was used to send computers to schools in Africa.
Célia explains things very clearly and with patience.
She was very popular with students and they liked her very much. Enjoying teaching, she always gives motivation to move forward.Celia completed her PhD at the University of Southampton with me as her Supervisor. Her work required her to apply complicated mathematical techniques to solve a practical problem (modelling noise generation by high speed contra-rotating propellers). Her mathematical ability and knowledge is very good and she would possess the knowledge and skill to act as a tutor in mathematics for high school or university students. She is also a very pleasant person and easy to get along with. I would strongly recommend her as a tutor.
