About Lucy
Hi! I am a Graduate of Modern & Medieval languages (French and Spanish) at the University of Cambridge. I have recently undertaken a year abroad, spending four months in Barcelona and seven months in Paris, and achieved fluency in both Spanish and French.
I am an experienced tutor as I have been tutoring for over six years, including 70+ hours of tutoring on this site. In previous academic years I have been a tutor for the organisation Schools Connect and I have gone in to year 11 classes in Cambridge to help with speaking practice.
I have also been an MEITS language ambassador and as part of this role I have given several lessons to a year 11 class at a school in Newmarket, as well as small group tutoring sessions.
I have lots of experience tutoring both GCSE and A Level students for both French and Spanish, but am also very happy to help people just starting out with the language.
I am happy to help with Cambridge University applications, and can of course offer specific advice for those applying for Modern and Medieval languages.

I am a French and Spanish tutor with experience tutoring students from beginner’s level up to A-level standard. I carry out my lessons over Webcam and have very flexible availability. Typical lesson lengths are 1 hour, but for younger students I can tailor these to be shorter.

Lucy tutored me French at A-Level and I can honestly ay she is one of the best teachers/tutors I have ever had. She is very patient and has a great understanding of French grammar, particularly in explaining the subjunctive to me! I was on track for a high B/low A after my Year 12 mock but after her help I managed to get an A*. Could not recommend her more.
Lucy tutored me for my GCSE Spanish exams in 2016. She tutored me for two hours a week for a year and was a brilliant addition to my school studies, as I particularly struggled with Spanish. Lucy is very patient and explains topics in a clear and concise way - I thought she was particularly helpful in explaining to me how to conjugate different tenses. She was always on time and never let me down. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lucy Jennings as a Spanish tutor.
