About Lyric
I hold a B.A. in French Linguistics and Cultural Studies and have taught French for 9 years, guiding learners across all proficiency levels. My experience includes helping beginners develop strong foundations, intermediate learners expand fluency and comprehension, and advanced learners refine stylistic and cultural nuance. I prioritize clarity, patience, and adaptive teaching, ensuring lessons are engaging, informative, and effective. I design lessons to blend structured grammar instruction with interactive conversation and cultural exploration. I encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and expressive communication while maintaining a supportive environment. Feedback is constructive and consistent, helping students build confidence and fluency gradually. My teaching emphasizes understanding concepts rather than memorization, fostering genuine language skills that endure beyond the classroom. Outside teaching, I immerse myself in French literature, films, and media, continually updating my knowledge to enrich lessons. Witnessing learners gain confidence, cultural understanding, and linguistic skill is deeply rewarding. I strive to support students in achieving both competence and enjoyment in French, fostering lifelong language engagement and intellectual curiosity.

French lessons flourish when students engage with language and culture simultaneously. My approach emphasizes listening, speaking, reading, and writing while integrating grammar, idioms, pronunciation, and contextual vocabulary. Lessons incorporate dialogues, role-playing, comprehension exercises, and storytelling, allowing learners to apply concepts in meaningful contexts. I create a warm environment where mistakes are opportunities, questions are encouraged, and curiosity thrives. Each session balances practical conversation with cultural exploration, helping learners understand the nuances of French language and society. Activities include interactive exercises, audio-visual tools, and discussions on literature, cinema, and customs, providing an immersive experience that fosters retention, fluency, and confidence. Students are guided to express ideas accurately and confidently in both casual and formal settings, with structured feedback reinforcing progress and ensuring clarity. Lesson progression is customized. Beginners build foundational vocabulary, basic grammar, and simple conversational skills. Intermediate learners deepen syntax understanding, idiomatic use, and more complex conversation strategies. Advanced learners refine rapid comprehension, stylistic versatility, and nuanced cultural references while preparing for professional or academic communication. I integrate interactive projects, comprehension tests, and practical exercises to enhance mastery and self-reliance. Lessons are designed to strengthen memory, articulation, and problem-solving in linguistic contexts. Beyond practical skills, French lessons develop analytical thinking, cultural sensitivity, and self-expression. Learners gain confidence navigating social, academic, and professional situations in French. My goal is to cultivate fluency, sophistication, and genuine enjoyment of language learning while supporting students’ personal and intellectual growth.
