About Slim
I worked as an Educational Assistant in University of Ottawa, as a Journalist (Sports editor) in a Francophone journal. Currently a French Teacher for Government Employees.
I have lots of experience in the Health and Wellness Industry and spent all my life in the French Education System. I have also a French High School Bachelor and another Bachelor in Political Science & Business Administration.
I also have more than 5000 hours of Teaching Experience!

I try to be the most flexible possible. I always want to get to know the student in order to adapt. I think teaching is also about learning. You learn a lot about yourself and others when you are in a teacher-student relationship.
I also prefer practice than theory because with practice comes habit and with habit comes expertise.
One method would be, for example, to watch your favourite movies and TV Shows in French and then we would talk about them, make a summary, etc.
This, in my experience, allows the Students to retain more information because they are familiar with their favorite Movies and TV Shows. They learn the subtle expressions and ways of speaking French that they can't find in Books.

I don't usually leave comments or reviews (maybe I should) but I thought this time I had to. Slim is an excellent tutor! Very patient and knowledgeable. Whatever your goal may be, Slim won't hesitate to go the extra mile to help you achieve it in a timely manner. Highly recommended!
As a former french teacher, I had the chance to work with Slim and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to learn English or French. He is passionate, motivated and dedicated to sharing his knowledge of both languages, which allows him to be very attentive to his student's needs. Don't hesitate to take classes with him, you definitely won't regret!
His teaching method is so entertaining that I don't feel like taking a class. It just looks like I was in conversation with a friend. We talk about what's going on at work, my favorite TV series and other subjects that interest me. He is friendly which makes me comfortable even when I make mistakes!
Slim is great mentor and understand how to deal with people. I have ADD and it’s challenging for me to focus. Slim is very patient and accommodating. His positive attitude made my learning experience super fun!
Slim is trustworthy and when he puts his mind into something, he always finds a way to achieve it. He's been to a french school from 3 years old to 18 years old and studied University in french. For that specific reason, I think his great knowledge of the language is a considerable asset to become a french teacher !

The First Lesson is for free. In my experience, 30 minutes is always enough to know if you want to continue or not.
The first contact is always important and I want to make sure you are at ease.
The rest of the sessions are 35$/h and I offer a 5 hour and a 10 hour package deal with a Discount.
