About Jamie
I am a current university student having studied French for six and a half years.
I travelled to Nouvelle Calédonie (New Caledonia) in 2016.
I received a Band 5 in French (Continuers) and a Band E3 in French (Extension).
My experience in teaching French is mainly among years 8-12, but I have taught across numerous areas, from basic/entry level to complex structures.

My method of teaching is based on the way in which I was taught French: repetition and involvement. My philosophy is that when a student is more alert and engaged, he or she will absorb and retain the content better, and he or she will enjoy learning it.
I also employ the strategy of relating one's French to other areas in their life, including the common ways in which certain structures work in English, so flexibility and vocabulary are my strongest points as a tutor.
I try not to assign homework, unless it is completing something not completed in a tutoring session.
