About Ella

My teaching approach is highly interactive and focused on clear articulation to help every learner sound natural in French. I use detailed pronunciation drills to strengthen each sound and improve accuracy. We also explore regional variations so students understand how French can shift from place to place. For beginners, I include simple dialogues that build confidence in everyday communication. Vocabulary retention is supported through practical exercises that make new words easy to remember. I guide learners step-by-step toward speaking French with clarity and ease. This approach is especially helpful for those learning for travel or reconnecting with their cultural roots. Every lesson is designed to support steady progress and reduce hesitation. Together, we build a strong foundation, sound by sound, until speaking feels effortless. I adapt the pace to each student’s needs, making sure they feel supported and motivated. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, structured, and encouraging. With consistent practice and clear guidance, students see real improvement. By the end, you will feel more confident, more expressive, and more natural in your French. Let’s work together to strengthen your voice in a new language.

About the lesson

I am a French tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience and a BA in French Cultural Policy and Arts Management. I work closely with advanced students who are interested in Old French and historical linguistics. Much of my teaching focuses on analyzing early French texts and understanding the language in its oldest forms. I have a deep passion for epic poems, chivalric romances, and the foundational authors who shaped French literary tradition.

I enjoy helping learners explore writers such as Chrétien de Troyes and Marie de France, whose works reveal the roots of storytelling in the francophone world. My sessions often blend linguistic analysis with cultural context to give students a richer learning experience. I also support university students who are studying historical linguistics or preparing for specialized research projects. Their academic goals guide the structure and depth of our lessons.

I believe that studying early texts builds strong analytical and linguistic skills. It also helps students appreciate how French evolved across centuries. Whether you are interested in medieval literature or preparing for advanced research, I provide clear, supportive guidance. Together, we will uncover the origins and evolution of the French language and its remarkable literary heritage.
