About Olivia
During 2021, I taught Biology and Chemistry at a grammar school in Bexley and previously I have tutored/mentored students hoping to pursue a career in Medicine.
I'm currently in my second year of medical school at the University of Leicester. Before studying medicine, I also completed the first year of a biological sciences degree also at the University of Leicester.
At GCSE, I achieved a 9 in Chemistry, an 8 in Physics, a 7 in Biology and an 8 in Maths at Townley Grammar School. At A Level, I achieved an A* in Maths, an A in Chemistry and an A in Biology.

Hi! My name is Olivia, and I am an enthusiastic medical student offering tutoring in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and A level Biology and Maths.
I have tutored students for the past 3 years and have a very good knowledge of effective revision strategies and of the GCSE/ A level specifications that I teach. At GCSE, I teach AQA, Edexcel and OCR Biology and Chemistry, and Edexcel Maths. At A Level, I teach OCR, Edexcel and AQA Biology, and Edexcel Maths.
I also tutor students for the UK medical school entrance exams (UCAT/BMAT) and I'm also happy to give advice and feedback on personal statements of perspective medical students. Typically I teach 1 hour lessons.
Having myself had tuition, I know how much a positive and patient approach can help to instil confidence and facilitate learning. I like to communicate well with my students and set goals in the first lesson according to what they want to achieve from tutoring. I then plan lessons according to what areas they are most weak on and what they are currently working on in class. I like to make my lessons engaging and enjoyable, covering the foundations of what needs to be learnt and keeping track of the student’s progress.
