About Shannon
Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m a friendly, patient and approachable person who really enjoys working with children. I’m currently studying at university and have always enjoyed helping others learn and grow in confidence.
I want to teach because I believe every child learns differently, and sometimes having someone who is patient, encouraging and makes learning fun can make a huge difference. I’m particularly passionate about helping primary-aged children with reading, spelling and English. I want my lessons to be relaxed and enjoyable, while helping children develop their skills and feel proud of their progress.

My approach to lessons
I provide friendly, patient and engaging lessons for younger children, focusing on reading, spelling and phonics. I adapt each lesson to suit the child’s individual ability and learning style, using simple activities and games to make learning enjoyable. Lessons are typically 30–60 minutes and are aimed at primary school-aged children.
I am currently a university student studying at the moment but I carry a full DBS and have worked in a primary school before for my work experience.
