About Iqra
I'm Iqra, a fourth-year medical student who loves teaching!
I have a degree in Biomedical Sciences, which, on top of my medical studies, has provided me with a strong scientific foundation. I enjoy teaching and have been delivering lectures to students from various healthcare-related fields since my second year of university. Taught topics include: Cardiovascular and gastrointestinal studies as well as pharmacology and evolution.
I am a current maths tutor.
I am an anatomy demonstrator for medical and biomedical students. I have taught UKCAT, extensively mentored students for their upcoming interviews; helped with a 6med MMI course and participated in various other Medicine interview programmes such as BSOC MMI.
I have been an examiner for mock OSCEs at my medical school.
I have tutored english and biology previously as well as mentored students in these subjects.
On the whole, I am friendly, competent and ensure I adapt my teaching style to best cater to those I tutor.
I am a student ambassador at my university which has involved teaching students from primary and secondary schools. It has also made me a better communicator.

Iqra was absolutely amazing. I was finding my studies extremely difficult and was at a point in the year where I just didn’t know if I was going to pass. She came and tutored me with so much kindness and patience but also the right amount of firm in the lessons. She always allowed me to ask any questions I wasn’t sure of and helped me through it all.
