About William
Hi, I’m William! I’m a Math and Physics tutor who loves helping students gain confidence and understanding in these subjects. I graduated with a dual IB and US High School Diploma and I’m currently taking a gap year before starting a Mathematics and Physics degree at Durham University. I’ve tutored students from middle school to IB level and co-founded a successful math club that continues to teach competition-level problem solving to this day. I always create a relaxed atmosphere where questions are encouraged and progress feels achievable. My goal is for every student to feel supported, motivated, and proud of what they can do.

I'm a Math and Physics tutor who focuses on clarity, confidence, and genuine understanding. My teaching method is based on breaking concepts down into simple, intuitive steps, then rebuilding them through examples, visual explanations, and exam-style practice. I never expect students to memorize; instead, I help them understand why methods work so they can apply them independently. A typical lesson begins by identifying where the student is struggling, followed by a short, structured explanation of the topic. We then work through problems together, gradually increasing difficulty to build mastery. I always end lessons with a quick recap and a personalized plan for what to practice next. What sets me apart is my combination of experience and approach. I graduated with a dual IB and US High School Diploma and co-founded a middle school Math Club teaching competition-level problem solving. I’ve tutored students across IB, AP, GCSE, and IGCSE in Math and Physics, and I specialize in helping students overcome conceptual blocks through patient, intuitive teaching. William is an amazing teacher, his love of Maths and Physics is obvious but what’s even better is that he makes learning fun! I’m not someone who really enjoys any of the STEM subjects but William’s love of science is infectious. I actually enjoy learning with him! He takes the time to make sure everything is clear and easy to understand!
William is a patient and kind teacher to learn from. Whenever I ask him mathematical questions, he was always willing to sit down with me and explain each step of the problem, even giving different types of solutions to help. He really has a passion in mathematics as he would often research anything mathematical related. He has also helped me survived mathematics even as I'm not really a fan of maths.
