About Charlotte

I’m a University of Cambridge graduate currently completing my Master’s in International Relations at King’s College London. My academic background spans the humanities and social sciences, particularly English Literature, Philosophy, Politics, International Relations, Theology and Religious Studies.

I love helping students develop confidence in their own ideas and academic abilities. Having spent years studying essay-based subjects at a high level, I’m particularly experienced in critical analysis, essay writing, research and constructing persuasive arguments.

My approach is friendly, patient and adaptable. I aim to make difficult concepts accessible while helping students develop skills they can use independently — rather than simply giving them the answers.

I can support students with subject-specific tutoring, exam preparation and coursework, as well as university-level essays, dissertations, proofreading and academic writing. I also offer support with CVs, cover letters and applications.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Charlotte! I’m a University of Cambridge graduate and Master’s student at King’s College London, with a strong academic background in essay-based subjects, critical analysis and research.

My lessons are personalised around each student’s individual needs — whether that means understanding difficult material, improving an essay, preparing for an exam, or developing the confidence and skills to work more independently.

For English Literature, we can work on close reading, textual analysis, essay structure, contextual understanding and developing sophisticated arguments. I can also provide broader support with essay writing, critical thinking, research, proofreading and academic writing, particularly across humanities and social-science subjects.

Rather than simply telling students what to write, I focus on teaching how to think through a question, develop an argument and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively. For GCSE and A-Level students, lessons can also be tailored to their specific exam board and assessment criteria.

I’m patient, encouraging and happy to adapt lessons to different learning styles, abilities and goals. Whether you’re aiming for a particular grade, struggling with essay structure, or simply want to become a stronger and more confident writer, we’ll build lessons around what will help you most.
