About Rachel
I am a fully qualified MFL teacher (French and Spanish), with 4 years teaching experience in UK secondary schools. I have taught ALevel French and have plenty of experience teaching KS3 French and Spanish and GCSE French. I have a high level of spoken and written French, with a 1st class degree in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge. I have a PGDE from Bath Spa University and I am currently studying part-time for an MPhil in French Literature from the University of Bristol.

I firmly believe success in a foreign language drives motivation. I use research-based teaching methods such as retrieval practice, interleaving and chunking to ensure my teaching is accessible to all learners and results in progress over time. I use high-frequency foreign language vocabulary in all of my lessons and encourage an approach of 'getting stuck in' with the language, building confidence.
