I am a guitarist + songwriter. I am obsessed + super-passionate about mastering the guitar. I have written + produced 2 instrumental guitar CDs and am currently working on another one. I love teaching students who are "in love" with mastering the guitar. Please do NOT come to me if you aren't "on fire" about learning to play and master whatever style of guitar playing you're after.

My main teaching method revolves around LISTENING to music first -- in order to identify what style of blues + jazz guitar you love most. From there, I will focus on teaching you to play that style. Next, we move forward -- making sure you are "on target" and learning to play music you REALLY want to play. Wherever the road takes us, we'll always start with the basics of rhythm -- and then moving on to other voicings that contain + carry the melodies. Then we get into essential theory in order to free up your mind for songwriting and improvisational skills.

Details
1) The initial Free lesson is only available AFTER a short initial interview (via phone, webcam, or in-person). If a student is a minor, a legal guardian must be present for this interview. The initial interview is solely to determine the commitment level of the student.
2) Travel Rates depend on the commitment level of the student. The more committed a student is, the more I will consider traveling to teach. Therefore, travel rates are negotiable.
