About Henrietta
I have been working as a qualified maths teacher for six years. I am the Head of GCSE Maths at a school in north London. I have taught maths to all age groups from primary maths and up to A-Level, and the majority of my experience is at GCSE. Due to Covid-19, I am currently teaching my classes using online technology, a visualiser, screen mirroring and video calls. Maths is a wonderful subject, but I know from experience that not all students feel confident with the subject. I aim to help students to feel more positive about their mathematical ability as this is often the main barrier to progress within maths. I always aim to teach and tutor for deep understanding, rather than simply showing a surface level method. I support students to develop their tools of problem solving and resilience in order to tackle all types of maths problems. I have tutored several pupils over the years, including Primary students. Every day in class, I do one-to-one interventions with students - this is the bread and butter of teaching.
