About Josh

I've devoted six years of my life to dedicated study of the Spanish language, as I hope to move to South America within the next couple years. I've taken four years of classes, between high school and university, but more importantly, I've made friends from all around the world that have helped me to understand the language in a way that classes never could. I want to help you do the same!

About the lesson

I take a standard approach to the basics. I want you to learn pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and syntax. But, with these, I'll give you practical slang and alternative regional words to supplement your vocabulary, and alternative phrases to express thoughts in a more normalized way. I want to introduce conversational Spanish also, in addition to reading comprehension and expression, so you know how to communicate verbally. Long story short, I want you to be linguistically indistinguishable from the natives of the language wherever you go.

Josh has been a long time friend and has an enthusiasm about learning that is contagious. He always ensures that people understand the concept he is talking about and is very adept at explaining complex subjects in an easy to understand way. He has helped me improve my Spanish significantly throughout the years. I would highly recommend him as a Spanish teacher, and I know he will cause you to care as much about Spanish as he does.
