About Katya
As a student at Georgia Tech, I have consistently strived to learn more and discover new material. I hope to pass on this passion to others through engaging lessons and interesting topics. While I was in high school, I took dual enrollment courses at GT, including Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, and Discrete Math.
I have over two years of experience tutoring high schoolers: from those in Algebra I and Pre-Calculus to seniors in AP Calculus BC. As a GT student, I'm a TA (Teaching Assistant) for our Object-Oriented Programming class, where I lead both "recitations" (groups of 30+ students for 75 minutes) and one-on-one tutoring in office hours.

My tutoring lessons consist of learning material at a foundational level, in order to build a background for future studies. This is done through understanding the basics of the subject, and applying knowledge to numerous practice problems.
- In mathematics, solving extra problems is the best way to learn the subject. My teaching method revolves around conceptually understanding the material while ensuring understanding of the approach.
- My mathematical skills include Algebra, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Integral Calculus, and Differential Equations.
- My lessons are typically for high school students: anyone who wants to improve their understanding of their class or who wants to learn a new topic.
