About Zara
I’ve always found it so difficult to find resources suited for me, which actually compute in my brain specifically for English as it’s not just a subject in which you can memorise concepts and print them on paper. After finding methods that work for me I’ve taught other students by tailoring concepts to their needs and how they like it to be explained, as I understand how difficult and overwhelming revising a content heavy subject such as English can be!

I’ve tutored for 2 years and have always fostered a collaborative approach where I like to personally get to know the pupil I’m working with in order to understand how to explain things in a way which is perfectly tailored to them. I provide exemplar resources, and tend to teach through activities such as live marking and encouraging my students to think deeper into the subject of English rather than just at surface level :)

Zara is honestly such an incredible tutor. She’s really good at helping with deeper analysis and getting you to notice things in a text that you probably wouldn’t have picked up on yourself. The mind maps she’s made with me have been especially helpful because she connects different themes, characters, and parts of the text together in a way that actually makes sense. She’s also really consistent, kind, and patient, and you can tell she genuinely knows what she’s doing.
