About Shadab
I am a graduate capoeirista and have been practising this martial art for 10 years. I have taught one-to-one classes as well as class sizes of up to 20 of all different ages and abilities.
Capoeira is not only a martial art, but a way of life. The music, acrobatics and dance are all combined to create a peaceful and mesmerising experience. This is something you definitely need in your life and should learn with me!!

My lessons are taught in a very fun and engaging way, using lots of different activities! Usually my lessons consist of a fun starter warm-up. After this I introduce the new movement/kick/acrobatic for that lesson and the main part of the lesson resolves around the different steps that are required to learn the new skill. Throughout the lessons I include many different fun activities which keep the lessons friendly and energetic. I always end my lessons with a cool-down so that all my students are left feeling relaxed.
I mainly teach Afro-Brazilian style and this includes animal movements, flow movements and acrobatics. I have taught for schools, NGOs but also, private lessons. I have additionally taught a range of ages (kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and adults). I can work with any abilities and my main aim is always to achieve improvement and to have fun!
After all of my lessons I always assess what has been learnt by my students so that I can tailor and adapt the following lessons to meet the individual needs and help them work on and improve their skills.
As a graduate in capoeira, I have been taught the importance of being an understanding and compassionate teacher.
