About Sela
Hi I am Sela. I am full Tongan and grew up in the Islands but I have managed to find myself at 25 years old in the chemical engineering industry from university and now in the real world. Because it is not a popular mainstream career path way and the fact I am brown, it makes me all the more passionate to see diversity in this industry. I lovesharing stories of how my workrelates to every day lives and teaching allows me to do that.

Mystyle of teaching is both traditional and modern. I teach through practical exercises as well as story telling to allow students to relate to a “problem” or exercise. My lessons can be from an hour to 2 hours. A good portion of that will be the student doing the exercise themselves while I analyze their thought patterns to break down how they conceive/solve a problem. I teach year 9-13 levels and can cater to any STEM SUBJECT with a bit of backgroundresearch
