I have no acting experience before joining this class, and I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Selma was very supportive, encouraging and made the environment feel very comfortable for learning.
She provided so many valuable insights into acting, character development, script analysis, experimenting with different approaches and emotions that I had never considered before. Her feedback was always thoughtful, constructive, and encouraging.
She helped me to identify areas for improvement, which also helped me build confidence.
What I admired most was her passion for teaching, the craft itself and her genuine investment in each student’s progress.
I always doubted my ability to act, but she helped me realise that I was capable of it.
Thanks to Selma’s guidance, I have gained a much deeper appreciation for acting and feel far more confident stepping outside my comfort zone.
I would highly recommend her to anyone, whether you’re a complete beginner like I was or someone looking to further develop your acting skills.I’ve directed Selma in multiple productions and she is an extremely talented performer. She has fantastic range and depth - a rare quality in a performer to have both - and has a “yes and” attitude. I wish more actors I direct are like her. She collaborates really well and it would be a privilege to be taught by her.
Over the past five years, my son has had the privilege of being taught by Selma whose impact has extended far beyond the stage. What has always stood out to me is her remarkable ability to create an environment where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to express themselves with confidence.
Her classes are led with genuine kindness, compassion, and inclusivity, but also with an unmistakable passion for the craft of drama itself. She nurtures not only performance skills, but empathy, creativity, resilience, and collaboration — qualities that stay with children long after the lessons end.
What I find most telling is that after five years, my son still looks forward to every class with the same excitement and enthusiasm he had at the beginning. That sustained love for learning is a testament to the warmth, intelligence, and dedication she brings into the classroom every single week.
She is the kind of educator who leaves a lasting imprint on her students — not simply because she teaches drama so well, but because she understands children so deeply.View more recommendations
