About Sophia
I am a graduate from the University of Edinburgh and my undergraduate degree was in French and Russian Studies. I am planning to complete my masters in Translation. I have loved languages since I was a child and went to France often. I love teaching languages and sharing my passion with children and trying to make lessons enjoyable and interactive so they can enjoy languages as much as I do!
I have played Piano for 15 years and completed my Grade 8 Piano and my Performance Diploma in Voice when I was 18. I love Formula 1 and am a keen crocheter, painter and all-round crafter! I have babysat in Edinburgh and Oxford for 5 years and it has been the best job ever!

I believe that students learn best when they are passionate about the subject. This is why I like to include authentic resources, culture, literature, sports etc within my lessons.
As I believe education is most effective when it is little but often, a typical lesson length would be 30-40 minutes.
I have just completed my PGCE in Modern Languages and have been working in a school for the past year teaching French to children aged 11-17. I have taught both GCSE and A-Level classes. I have also helped students achieve their DELF certificates.
