About Anthony
I am a patient, creative, and adaptable educator who is adept at immersing any and all students into the learning process. I believe that all students should have an equal and equitable opportunity, free of judgment, in their education. I will ensure that you understand the material by checking in and taking the time to assess where you are having difficulty. I will also deploy creative measures as needed to support you depending on your learning style whether it's through storytelling, games, mnemonic devices, or puzzles. I've been where are you and I'm here to make sure you don't struggle the way I did!
I have tutored for 4 years at the elementary level, 3 years at the middle school and high school levels, and 4 years at the college level. I have been a tutor and mentor with Los Angeles Unified School District and at UCLA.

My approach as a tutor is to be relatable and understanding to the student I'm working with. I'm not here just to explain something and leave or to do the work for you. I'm here to thoroughly help you understand the material enough so that you then could potentially help someone else with it. I'm never going to judge you or put any expectations, I've been through the education system myself and my goal is to ensure that you do not struggle as much as I did! I'm here for you!
My lessons will always start with a brief check-in, followed by a 1-5 minute session where the student will have the opportunity to walk me through their thinking process, what they don't understand, or any of their ideas regarding the assignment. From there, I will actively adapt my lesson plan to fit the student's needs and learning styles.
I can provide a lesson for any K-12 math, English, history, or science. A more detailed outlook in what I can provide a lesson in is below:
