About Desmond
I've worked as a research assistant and an undergraduate learning assistant (ULA) for nanoscience and general physics II respectively. As a research assistant I was required to understand key concepts in both chemistry and physics such as difference between classical and quantum models. It also presented opportunity and participation as an assistant for a nanoscience outreach workshop that provided research experience for high school students over the course of 1-2 months. My responsibilities involved working individually with groups of high school students to make sure they gained and improved their data analysis skills within the research lab and could explain various concepts related to the research they were conducting. As a ULA, I performed similar work of speaking with college students and helping them on various practice problems related to heat, light, electricity, and magnetism.

My lesson plans will do the very best in being personalized to your needs. I'll create PowerPoint slides that will cover general key concepts of the subject/chapter you are currently wanting to focus and improve on. I'll request what concepts and problems you struggle with the most and create further slides to go more in depth to personally help you as an individual. Practice problems will be provided and reviewing/reflecting on your own thought process is the optimal way to know how you can learn and understand concepts best. I can provide online and in-person tutoring concerning: Trigonometry, College Algebra, General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Calculus (I or II), Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Physics (I or II ; with or without Calculus). I'm more experienced working with individuals in the high-school and college range but I am not against teaching those of younger levels.
