About Sophie
Since 6 years old, I have started playing piano and studied music theory. I have taken every grade of the ABRSM practical piano and theory exams. Besides, I am actively participating in bands like orchestra and R&B and have up to 4 years of experience. I do play percussion occasionally in the orchestra band but piano is always my major instrument. I am also a piano accompanist of my best friends' singing band and together we had participated in more than 5 competitions.

Since music is a form of entertainment, I will teach my student techniques to read notes instead of memorizing them. I deeply believe in 'Practice makes perfect', so my teaching approach is to be diligent in doing practices. Although I am pretty strict in teaching and setting deadlines, I love to joke around and give rewards if students have achieved what they should have based on their abilities. Every student possesses different potentials and I believe every student can accomplish anything as long as they put in effort. Music is a wonderful tranquilizer. I hope every student that come to me can enjoy and of course to learn and be talented.
