Sitting down for a session often feels like stepping into a shared musical conversation where tuning, maintenance, and technique provide the baseline. Scales, modes, and ear training provide the structure for our exploration of improvisation and songwriting.
Reading sheet music and tabs becomes a natural part of the process when applied to lead guitar playing. My 13 years of playing mean I understand the acoustic nuances that students struggle with most. Growing up with the rustic resonance of a nylon string guitar, I first learned to play by mimicking the complex rhythms of flamenco and bolero in my family home. The smell of cedar wood and the rhythmic pulse of chacarera define my early years of musical discovery.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music from AIM, which grounds my intuitive upbringing in formal structure. My teaching style remains friendly and patient, shaped by 13 years of navigating cross-cultural music spaces here in Australia.
I work with a diverse crowd, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players and busy working professionals. These traditions are more than just notes on a page to me.
