About Shawn
I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a history in classical music, jazz, and the diy scene. I've been playing in bands since I was 16, I'm currently in the final stages of working on two different records in two bands. I play drums in a band called Never Any Ordinary and guitar in a band called infinitefreefall. I'm proficient in not only guitar but bass, violin, drums, piano, and almost anything else with strings.

I approach teaching guitar/violin in a very step-by-step way. Assuming you are starting from ground zero, I would start with the basics (CAGED, power chords, pentatonic scale, how to hold your bow) and build up to more advanced techniques like chord comping, soloing in different modes, two hand tapping, fingerstyle, violin double stops, etcetera etcetera.
