About Marima
Habari! I'm Mariam, a native Swahili speaker from Kampala, Uganda.
I have 3 years experience teaching languages at St. Lawrence School and Alliance Française. Teaching is my passion!
I grew up speaking Swahili every day, so I teach authentic Swahili that locals actually use — not just book Swahili.
I am friendly, patient, and I love helping students feel confident speaking from lesson 1. I also speak English and French fluently.
Outside teaching, I love East African music, cooking, and sharing our beautiful culture with the world.
