About Marlena

My name is Marlena, and I am originally from New York. I studied Communications and Rhetoric at Binghamton University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in 2016. During my time as a student, I worked for three years as a communications consultant, helping students strengthen their public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.

I currently work within the architecture and design world, but I previously spent nearly ten years at McKinsey & Company, where I partnered with technology teams to support product launches through effective, cohesive communication, marketing, and adoption strategies. My work focused on helping teams communicate ideas clearly, connect with their audiences, and create experiences that felt both engaging and impactful.

About the lesson

I work with individuals to elevate the way they communicate, helping them refine their voice, strengthen oral expression, prepare confidently for interviews, improve written work, and better understand the principles of impactful communication and marketing.

My approach combines structure, empathy, and real-world strategy. I believe the strongest communication happens when people feel confident, understood, and aligned with their own voice rather than trying to sound overly rehearsed or “perfect.”

Whether supporting students, professionals, creatives, or non-native English speakers, I create a collaborative environment focused on clarity, confidence, storytelling, and authentic connection.
