I’m a retired high school teacher. I spent 35 years teaching maths, science and biology. Previously I worked in a medical research unit at a local university. I find myself missing teaching and missing young people. I feel passionate about my subjects and still have a wealth of experience to share

I’m a mother and a grandmother, Ive taught teens for 35 years. I’m warm, empathetic and patient. I also have a zany sense of humour so lessons tend to be fun as well as instructive. My approach to tutoring maths and science is to observe how my students solve problems and to then remediate with easy to understand steps . I like to show students how they can gain marks for a question even if they are unable to reach a solution. This comes as a result of years of matric marking final papers
