About Kara
Having completed my PhD at the University of Otago in 2020, I moved to Wellington where I have been employed in various roles while working to publish my thesis, alongside various other articles.
Tutoring helps to improve my teaching experience, which is useful because I hope to one day become a university lecturer. It can also be very rewarding to help students develop an interest in what, for me, are among the most interesting and illuminating topics.

I have four years of tutoring experience, including giving private lessons to students with learning difficulties.
Lessons would consist of developing study strategies for tests and exams, as well as assistance on how to write good essays. I can also offer proofreading services.
A typical lesson may be one or two hours long. I can tutor for NCEA and university up to the postgraduate level.
