About Marie
Hi everyone! My name is Marie and I am a 21-year-old student at the University of Manitoba. I discovered at a young age that being creative was my main outlet to remove myself from reality. Since then, I have always wanted to teach others how amazing art can be. Fun fact, when I was 16 years old, I was picked from my school to represent Fine Arts in front of the Minister of Education. In high school, I had an amazing art teacher that taught me everything I know now. I also just finished my first year at the School of Art at my University where I was able to expand my knowledge and learn new things. I have past tutoring and training experience therefore I am aware of the challenges that may come along the way. I am excited to teach others what I enjoy the most and I hope you all will feel the same way!

I want to focus on beginners who are willing to learn and have very minimal knowledge on the subject. I plan to focus on teaching the basis of drawing and painting so that they can apply this knowledge to expand their skills. My lesson plan can be adjusted based on the individuals learning abilities. I am super patient and understanding. Although this is set up to learn, I still want to have fun and enjoy being creative! This is a safe space therefore I will never expect anyone to be a natural artist. We are all here to learn together! :)
